April 21 --at Tampa Bay

Kenny Rogers starts for the Rangers tonight. Rogers has started one road game this year, getting no decision and allowing one run, one earned run in 6 innings. For the season he is 0-1 after three starts with a 3.44 ERA.

Tampa Bay counters with Dewon Brazleton, a 24 year old right hander who is 6-4 and weighs 214. At home this year Brazleton has lost both of his starts while posting a 4.38 ERA. For the season his record is 0-3 and 6.75 ERA

PROSPECT WATCH

JOHN DANKS (Bakersfield) got his first victory of the season last night. He has pitched 15,2 innings so far this year, striking out 14 while walking only three. His ERA is 1.15.

GERALD LAIRD (Oklahoma City) is bound to be in Rangers plans, regardless of their catching situation. Laird homered again for the Redhawks last night, his fourth shot of the year. He is batting .342 and has nine RBI's.
